We find funding where there was none before.

We know that finding the funding for your efforts can be time-consuming and arduous. With so much on your plate as it is, leave the grant-writing and funding to the experts.

Working towards reconciliation.

RIC - Truth and Reconciliation

RIC is working towards reconciliation by following the Truth and Reconciliation #92, calling on Corporate Canada to:

  • Commit to meaningful consultation, building respectful relationships, and obtaining the free, prior, and informed consent of Indigenous Peoples before proceeding with economic development projects.
  • Ensure that Aboriginal peoples have equitable access to jobs, training, and education opportunities in the corporate sector, and that Aboriginal communities gain long-term sustainable benefits from economic development projects.
  • Provide education for management and staff on the history of Aboriginal Peoples, including the history and legacy of residential schools, the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, Treaties and Aboriginal rights, Indigenous law, and Aboriginal–Crown
relations. This will require skills-based training in intercultural competency, conflict resolution, human rights, and anti-racism.
Indigenous communities face a unique set of challenges when it comes to disaster mitigation: not enough resources, lacking internal capacity and funding, and, at the same time, some communities are among the most impacted when emergency strikes. By working together, RIC can take the burden of planning and expertise off of your plate so you can continue to focus on what matters most: your community.

"We wouldn’t have gotten as far with recovery works, nor got the services our evacuees or Band received, without RIC. The Coldwater Band has benefited from RIC’s disaster recovery project coordination services. They kept us on task and budget and ensured we keep contact with all that continued to assist us with recovery as there are many nuances that Band Administration wouldn’t necessarily have the time or skill to do throughout all phases of disaster recovery.” "
